Pine Valley Bible Camp (PVBC) specializes in reaching out to under-privileged inner city children and youth through our excellent summer christian camp program. Only 40 minutes from Pittsburgh PVBC is nestled among 600 wooded acres in the hills of Western PA.  Matthew and Susan Reichart have been involved with summer  camping for over 25 years! In fact, they even met at camp!  Under the direction of Matt and Susan, PVBC works in conjunction with local churches, corporate partners and responsible and qualified high school and college age students.  Each staff person is selected for their Christian maturity, ability to share camping skills and their love for youth. Close supervision and direction of campers is emphasized to ensure a safe camp program. 

Dear Parents/Guardian,

         We believe every child should go to camp! Because camp is a place where real life change can take place. Our purpose is to introduce our campers to Jesus Christ in a way that relates to their needs. How? During your child’s week we strive to maintain high standards while creating an atmosphere of excitement, joy, enthusiasm, cabin unity, and love for one another.

         We all experience deep hurt and pain in our lives and we all encounter tragedies that we do not understand.  Our desire is to encourage the youth at camp that there is hope and a future for them, and that God has a great plan for their lives. We will address many life issues with God’s Word because it is relevant for today, and it is effective  and applicable in all life’s circumstances.

Our Purpose

1. It is our purpose to reach the urban/ underpriviledged youth culture, introducing them to life in Jesus Christ in a way that relates to their need for stability in an unstable world.
2. It is our purpose to break the vicious cycle of broken relationships, shattered dreams and lost hope.
3. It is our goal to make these youth complete in Christ in regards to personal life, family life, work, community and church.
4. It is our purpose to partner with churches and organizations that are committed to ministering in an excellent and relevant manner bringing honor and glory to Jesus.
